Even worse than just don't working again is slowly getting worse. I reinstalled Windows Server 2003 on my computer for it was using before the reinstall 340 mb default. When starting something like a browser I couldn't do a lot for the next few seconds than hearing the Harddisk crunch on the page file :-p.
Anyways I enjoy reinstalling for it forces me to change things like ordening that I wanted to do before but I was to lame to do it. Well ok.. I don't have an important presentation, neither do I have those reinstalls often.

I have a worse problem: About six months ago, my computer started freezing randomly, it did so most often when playing 3d games so I figured the 3D card was overheating, I got a fan for it. When it still kept freezing I replaced the card. Still it froze, so I replaced the hard drive (with a bigger one) and it still froze, so I replaced the motherboard, froze, replaced the CPU, froze, replaced the case, froze...
The onlything that I have not replaced is the memory, all 1Gb of it, and it just happens to be the only thing I can't afford to replace :P

Do you just have one stick or multiple sticks that equal 1gb? If you have more than one stick, just take one out and test to see if it was just the one stick.
If you have one stick, then, well, that sucks.

Shane, been there done that. Its two 512mb sticks and both are faulty.
